Our Story

Geekay Fuels is a sustainable biodiesel producer from India. We are committed to the cause of cleaner fuels. We own and operate the fully functional and commercially viable biodiesel manufacturing plant in the western part of Tamilnadu with a focus on serving the fast-growing Indian market. Biodiesel is a clean-burning renewable fuel made using natural vegetable oils and fats. Biodiesel is used as a replacement for petroleum diesel fuel or can be blended with petroleum diesel fuel in any proportion.

The demand for energy across the world is constantly rising. It is predicted to increase by a further 37% over the next two decades. But the original energy sources such as coal and oil are fast depleting. So the need of the hour is to explore the use of renewable energy resources to meet this rapidly rising energy requirement instead of depending on the global markets for imports.  At Geekay bio, we are joining the Government of India’s cause to conserve the environment by producing and supplying a Bio Diesel, which is made from 100% used cooking oil. The government’s new biofuel policy is supporting the conversion of waste to wealth; used cooking oil to Biodiesel.

Production

Production:
We purchase waste oils from around the world and convert them to clean, renewable biodiesel. Biodiesel is a renewable fuel made from a relatively simple chemical process known as transesterification. During this process, oil molecules are split into two parts — methyl esters and glycerine. The esters are combustive and are thus used for fuel. Meanwhile, the glycerine is filtered out for use in different industries, including the hygiene and beauty product sector where it is a mainstay due to its ability to pull moisture and hydrate. During the production process, it produces less than half the net carbon dioxide emissions thrown up by diesel refinement. Feedstocks that are renewable resources such as fats, vegetable oils and recycled cooking oil are given new life and transformed into a renewable fuel.
